Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day.  Even so, it is probably the one that is most often skipped.  Speaking from personal experience, if I don’t eat a high protein breakfast, I’m a wreck the rest of the day, even if I eat a healthy lunch and dinner.  Eating a breakfast that is high in protein and healthy fats sets the tone for the rest of the day and helps stabilize your blood sugar.  Guess what stable blood sugar does for you?  Well, it will keep you much nicer to work with, and it will help curb your cravings for carbs and sweets later on in the day.

And don’t forget: Humans are the only animals on the planet who eat different food for breakfast than they do for the rest of their meals. There is nothing wrong with eating leftover dinner for breakfast! But for more “traditional” breakfast choices:
